Washing Your Car
All you need is the following:
- A bucket.
- A non-scratch sponge.
- A quality car wash shampoo.
- A high quality chamois.
We recommend using Infinity Car Wash with Glassplexin. This car wash is very economical. As it contains Glassplexin, it will work towards repairing any scratches in the clear coat. As the concentration of Glassplexing is quite low once the shampoo is diluted, you should not rely on the shampoo to completely repair clear coat scratches. Infinity Car Wash is pH neutral, so it will reduce the impact on your skin.
The Washing
After mixing the car wash (using 2 or 3 capfuls of Infinity Car Wash concentrate), hose off all loose dirt from the car. See below if water restrictions apply. Wash the car with the sponge, taking care to rinsing and wringing it often (to avoid scratches in the clear coat). When you are finished, hose off the car.
Using the Chamois
The chamois sold in our shop are professional quality as used by detailers. A microfibre chamois is always better than a natural chamois. Natural chamois cause scratching of the clear coat. Not all microfibre chamois are the same. There are vast differences in the quality of the weave and in the composition of the threads. The chamois in our shop are specially selected to ensure no scratching and optimum performance.
When drying the car, you should regularly rinse and wring the chamois. Do one panel at a time and avoid long, fast motions as this will increase the risk of damaging your clear coat.
Waterless Car Wash
Water restrictions are a part of life in many areas of Australia. But it doesn't mean you have to drive a dirty car. Quick & Easy Waterless Car Wash uses only 4 liters of water and is a lot faster than washing your car the conventional way. The kit comes with all you need (except the bucket).
